Small Steps to Your Success

Learning to drive can be very challenging. At times you may think you are never going to pass your driving test. However, just keep going with your driving lessons and change just two things.

1. Stop being self critical and focusing on when things go wrong. It really does not help and can be self destructive. Celebrate the improvements you make each lesson. Recognise and accept you are allowed to make mistakes because you are learning. The smallest achievements all add up over time. These small steps are your steps to success. Remember you are allowed to make mistakes because that is how we learn.

2. Do not compare yourself to others. Everyone one of us is different and we all learn differently. Some new skills you may find easy to master. Other skills you may find more challenging. Friends and family may tell you how they passed their test in ten hours or how they mastered all of the reverse exercises in the first couple of lessons. So what. It takes you as long as it takes to learn to drive. Enjoy the learning and do not allow others to pressure you. You are you.

I recognise learning to drive is expensive. However, I also believe you get what you pay for.

Not every driving school is the same.
