Inappropriate speed can kill. However, appropriate use of speed can help to keep you and other road users safe.
The faster you drive the faster you are going to hit something or someone.
The faster you drive the harder you will hit someone or something.
The faster you drive the quicker things happen. The time you have to process what is happening and react is reduced.
The slower you drive the more time you have to avoid other road users and situations.
A few miles an hour slower can make all the difference between stopping safely or being involved in an accident/incident.
How good a driver are you? It takes skill and self discipline to drive at or below the speed limit. If you cannot even stay within the limit perhaps you are not as good as you think you are?
