Citroen has released data on car parking damage

Article in FleetWorld this month with data released by Citroen in its latest #ParkingHero survey showing that 25% of drivers surveyed admitted to bumping into another car when parking, with half of those driving off. 50% said they felt they were more likely to have their cars damaged in supermarket car parks.

The survey also found that the highest percentage of 'careful' parkers were in the 18 -24 years old age bracket. The latter is good news for young drivers. Although, I must admit it surprised me.

How many of your drivers check their vehicles for damage before using them to make sure they are safe and road worthy? How many companies have policies regarding minor damage to their vehicles, responsibilities for drivers to report and managers to proactively check the condition of their fleet? Worth thinking about as part of your managing road risk policy?
