The Tax Disc has gone!

From October 2014 we longer have to display a tax disc in our cars. Although, we still have to make sure our vehicles are taxed. I understand the tax disc was introduced in 1921. However, with modern technology taxing vehicles has now moved into the 21st Century. What is a good move forward is being able to pay for vehicle tax by direct debit.
