How often do you check your tyres?
Tyre pressures: Correct pressure for the load? Check when cold. Check your owner's manual to find out the tyre pressures for your vehicle.
Condition: Check for irregular wear and signs of damage such as lumps and bulges. If you have damaged your wheel or tyre do something about it!
Tread depth: 1.6 mm across central three quarters of the breadth of the tread and around the entire circumference. You can insert a 20 pence coin into the grooves at different places around the tyre. If the outer band of the coin is visible tread depth maybe illegal. Or buy a depth gauge or check the 'lugs'.
