DVLA delays driving licence counterpart axe

DVLA delays driving licence counterpart axe with online system not ready.
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is delaying abolition of the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence until an online system suitable for businesses has been developed.

The DVLA had previously announced 1st January, 2015 as the date for abolition of the paper counterpart to the driving licence and the simultaneous introduction of a free of charge online service for employers to check the validity of employees’ driving licences.
