Diversity Disability Equality and Inclusion

Everyone Welcome!

I provide automatic driving lessons in Rotherham, South Yorkshire covering in and around Bramley, Wickersley, Hellaby, Maltby, Ravenfield, Thrybergh, Dalton, Herringthorpe, East Dene, Whiston and Parkgate.

I welcome anyone who wants to learn to drive in an automatic car. I like to teach people with neuro diversity, learning differences and specific educational needs (SEND). I also teach nervous and anxious learners and anyone who is struggling to learn to drive.

Please note, that whilst I have an automatic car, I do not have any adaptations fitted to this vehicle.

Learners who have physical disabilities requiring vehicle adaptations could consider visiting the Disability Driving Instructors website which has a find an instructor search facility which includes driving instructors with adapted vehicles. This website also a lot of very useful information for all drivers.

It would also be worth considering visiting the Driving Mobility website which also has a lot of very useful information and a find a centre search facility which will allow you to identify the nearest driving mobility centre to you. These centres are staffed by experts who can advise and help you on your driving journey. They may also have contact with local instructors who may be able to help.

Learning to drive an automatic car has advantages. For example, you do not have to worry about changing gears or stalling. Modern automatics are easy to drive and electric cars, which are becoming more popular, are also automatic. Why bother with gears if you do not have to? You will learn all of the skills you need to be a safe and responsible driver and then have the freedom to go where you want and when.

Driving lessons are at your pace in a supportive and safe environment. You will learn how to safely move off and stop the car. You will drive on different types of road and experience different driving conditions. Learning how to safely deal with junctions, hazards and other road users. You will also learn how to safely manoeuvre the car. Click here for information about my qualifications.

Everyone one of us is different. For example, we all learn differently, at different paces and have our own learning and supportive needs. I will do my best to work with you to support your learning.

Learning to drive, or having the confidence to drive, gives us independence and freedom to go where we want and when. I am very patient and supportive and can help you to reach your driving goals.
